The Awesome Odyssey

The Honda Odyssey makes a solid choice for any new drivers looking to buy a minivan. There are many reasons a teenager could want a minivan, not just to be creepy. For example, you may be the designated pack mule among your friends. The Odyssey has no problems transporting them considering its capacity of carrying up to 8 passengers comfortably. It also has plenty of trunk space for groceries, sports equipment, and other things.

Now, I may be a little biased because my family has a 2009 Honda Odyssey EX-L that we bought brand new and it has served us well. As of the writing of this post, it has 102k miles on the odometer, and with regular mainte
use it may handle differently than a regular car, you are sorely mistaken. Under the hood is a 240hp V6 engine that lets the Odyssey handle just like a car, while its competitors are left feeling like bulky, heavy trucks.

Just ask my dad who has been driving an Odyssey for the last 9 years, “This is the most reliable car I’ve ever owned, and I’ve owned a few.  It’s a comfortable ride.  The kids love it for to the seating space and the DVD player.  We love it because the three kids aren’t crammed in a single rear seat fighting with each other.  The sliding doors are a plus in tighter parking spaces.  With the rear seats folded down, there’s plenty of cargo space – a very practical car in my opinion”.

In conclusion, if you can get over the “soccer mom” image of a minivan, it can be quite a comfortable and reliable ride.
